LTS Web
June 21, 2006
Attending: Jim Alberts, Michal Jacyna, Sally Lockwood, Lois Purcell, Nate Rupp, Nancy Solla, Jim Spear, Deb Warfield
1. Party
We agreed to meet for lunch at the Boatyard Grill on Friday, July 21. Karen has approved this and Laurie has reserved the time on everyone’s calendars. Sally will make all the arrangements as we get close to the day.
2. LTS-related directories on http://www.library.cornell.edu/
Nancy will work with Adam to move all the LTS related files to Library 30. Sometime in the next year the LTS Web team will work with Lois to survey those files and determine what really can be deleted and what needs to be made part of the LTS Web site.
3. Other business
a. Redirects to new site
Nate will ask George to redirect /cts/, /tsweb/, /tsmanual/, /voyager/, and /ts/ on http://www.library.cornell.edu/ to http://lts.library.cornell.edu on Friday, July 7. [Email sent on June 21, 2006.]
b. http://centraltechnicalservices.org/
Nancy will ask Adam about the status of this site and if any of the forms there should eventually be moved to http://lts.library.cornell.edu/.
c. Hana Dedina’s statistics pages http://www.library.cornell.edu/cts/statisti.htm
Lois is waiting for a response from Jim LeBlanc about whether or not these pages should be moved to http://lts.library.cornell.edu/.
d. IP Addresses
Everyone will send their IP addresses to Nancy before next week’s meeting on June 28.
e. http://lts.library.cornell.edu header and footer
Michal will link to the contacts page, site index, and site map. Nate will create a page for the site requirements and let Michal know when he’s done so it can be linked from the front page.
f. Netadmins and MacroExpress pages
We will move the current content for these pages to the new site which can then be updated after the respective groups have had a chance to meet. The netadmin content has already been moved over and Lois will move the MacroExpress content into the Resources and Tools section over the next two weeks.
g. Other content
The metadata services page has been moved to its own URL and Nancy is working to do the same with Marty’s ALCTS site and Backstory. Nancy will let the group know when this is done so the links on the new site for Backstory can be updated.
h. Lois will check with Laurie to determine the process for moving the print outs of the Voyager migration documents into CUL archives in Kroch Library.
i. Sally will continue working on the Foreign Language Resources sections of Resources and Tools after she officially rotates off the LTS Web Team. Jim Alberts will talk to Jim Reidy about continuing edit privileges for those that will need to “finish up” sections of the site.
