LTS Web Meeting

May 3, 2006

8:30 - 9:30

Attending: Jim Alberts, Michal Jacyna, Sally Lockwood, Lois Purcell, Nate Rupp, Nancy Solla, Deb Warfield

1. Nancy distributed the beginnings of a LTS Web style guide. We made a couple of initial changes to the guide; these included:

a. Under Capitalization, "consistent capitalizing" means that "title capitalization" will be used.

b. Table of contents for Procedures should not be in italics and the main headings in a Procedure’s table of contents should be in bold.

Nancy will implement these changes to the style guide and continue perusing the site for other style insights. Other members of the team should email her their own style insights for a discussion at next week’s meeting.

2. We are still having problems working with ordered and unordered lists. Nate will take a look at procedures 17 and 11 and ask the Mann web staff if they have any insights.

3. Michal will meet with Jim Reidy for an update on the "What’s New" piece of the web site and the rotating images section. He will update the team at our meeting on May 17.

4. We discussed the ability to create a printable version of a page in CommonSpot. The only way this can be done is to print one CS element at a time; this allows us to print the text box element, but not the title element. Michal suggested that if we were to use the special form for creating procedures that he designed, it would include the title and text of a procedure in a single element. We reached consensus that we were willing to live with not being able to print the title of a procedure if it enabled us to use the "normal" text editor with its additional flexibility (larger area in which to edit HTML code).

5. Future meetings with tentative agendas:

May 10, 2006: 1. Style guide continued

2. Begin discussion on training

3. Updates from Nate’s discussion with Mann web staff about lists

May 17, 2006: 1. Updates from Michal’s discussions with Jim Reidy

2. Continue training discussion
