CommonSpot implementation

Jim A. updated the group on what he had learned about the CommonSpot implementation of the web page as a result of attending several meetings this week. There is an issue with how CommonSpot deals with the authoring of sub-web pages that is being researched.

Postponement of a Full TS Web Group Meeting

Jim A. reported that after a discussion with Nate, they both decided to postpone a full group meeting until the development of the new TS Web pages has proceeded further, including populating the pages with live links to associated data, such as procedures. The group, as a whole, agreed that we would like to be able to provide some feedback on the design of the new web page at an early enough stage of development so as to minimize the amount of additional work that it could take to make revisions or additions.

Current work on the Procedures and Documentation content

Jim A. tabled discussion on the front matter for the Voyager procedures other than to indicate that he will proceed with completing this task. Lois did indicate that Jim should use the LTS procedures list, which notes those procedures which came from the Voyager manual, rather than looking at the files listed on the Voyager manual server.

We also agreed that it is important to archive what we are referring to as legacy materials from the old CTS page, which appears to have no active link from the current TS Web pages.

Lois indicated that Ardeen White has agreed to be designated as the person responsible for maintenance of the "basic" Voyager procedures when there has been a Voyager upgrade. If the procedures pertain to processes that are out of her expertise (i.e. Acquisitions procedures), she will be responsible for recruitment of other relevant staff, soliciting assistance from department heads as necessary.
