TSWeb Technical Team Minutes, Nov. 16, 2005
In attendance: Michal Jacyna, Sally Lockwood, Nate Rupp
1. Nate updated everyone on the meeting that he and Jim Alberts had with Karen Calhoun earlier in the week. She likes the site and appreciates all the work the team has accomplished. The only things she mentioned were that the news item about ReDS? new web site had a misspelling and that under services we should have "Consulting" instead of "LTS Redesign."
2. We identified a number of things to mention at our meeting with the rest of the LTS Web group on Friday:
a. Double check with the group that the headings are what we agreed upon.
b. Discuss the subheadings: Do we want to have subheadings at all, do we want to have more than two or three under each heading, what is the best way to show that there may be more than the two or three subheadings that are listed under each heading (Michal is using ellipses now), what are some other suggestions for major subsections/headings of each main section/heading of the site?
c. What do we do about acronyms on the front page? Some, like ITSO / ITSO CUL, are brands and probably should be retained as acronyms, but others, like ERMI, may need to be spelled out.
d. We will also give everyone in the group time to voice their general opinions about the front page.
3. Next steps
a. November 18: Demo for full LTS Web group
b. November 21: Possible Demo for LTS SMT meeting [This meeting has been postponed until November 28.]
c. November 21: Meet with Jim Reidy to ask about what, if any, tweaks to the prototype coding need to be made before it can be loaded into CommonSpot and begin scheduling a workflow process of loading the site into CS.
d. November 22 ? December 2 (dates flexible): Update the prototype using feedback from the Nov. 18 and 28 meetings
e. Continuing: Development of the second level navigation architecture and meeting with constituencies to gather content.
