TSWeb Maintenance Team
Meeting Notes 26-Jul-05

In Attendance: Jim Alberts (co-chair), Michal Jacyna, Margaret Nichols, Lois Purcell, Nate Rupp (co-chair), Nancy Solla, Jim Spear, Debra Warfield.

TSWeb: Project Phase 1 Deliverables for August 4, 2005

Tasks:

1)Header Changes (Michal & Nancy)
     a)Create a new graphic called "Contacts" with the same color, font, and dimension as the graphic "Technical Services Centers".
     b)Replace Tech. Serv. Centers graphic with new Contacts graphic on homepage and all templates.
     c)Link "Contacts" graphic to new Contacts page [see Task 5]

2)Add new Heading above About US on homepage (Nancy)
     a)Create a new graphic called "*NEW* Library Technical Services Dept. Info. (LTS)", following similar color, font, and dimension schemas as the other unit headings.

3)Template Change (Nancy & Michal)
     a)Create new template graphic to replace the old "Tech. Serv. Centers" template "shadow". graphic with the new LTS Dept. Info. "shadow graphic and letter graphic (letter & color to be determined by Nancy).

4)Create new LTS Dept. Info. Page (Michal & Sally)
     a)Make HTML page from new LTS Dept. Info. Template, link to LTS Det. Info. graphic on homepage.
     b)Contents of new page: i)Links in chronological order: Organizational Charts Staff Lists Contact List

5)Create 3 HTML pages (Michal, Sally, Nancy, Nate)
     a)Contacts List HTML page (Michal & Sally) i)Use LTS Dept. Info. Template ii)Content: Karen will send final version of list by 7/28/05
     b)Staff List HTML page (Michal, Sally, Nancy) i)Use LTS Dept. Info. Template ii)Content: Karen will send final version of list by 7/28/05 ****NOT CONFIRMED* iii)Photos: attached to relevant service units
     c)Organizational Chart HTML page (Michal & Nate) i)Use LTS Dept. Info. Template ii)Content: Karen sent .ppt file on 7/25/05 of org. chart (OK to link .pdf for now) 1)Specification: Present org. structure horizontally with links to more detailed unit charts, and so forth

6)Remove HTML pages made with the Tech. Serv. Centers template (Michal & Sally)
     a)Two links identified: i)Main Tech. Serv. Centers page ii)Link on main "About Us" page, titled as "library units"

7)Draft What's New article (Margaret) -will send a draft to the group by 8/1/05
     a)Draft article about the new LTS org. that will include the following: official start date of new org., explanation of the acronym "LTS", and alert users that the CTS website will eventually be taken down and replaced with the new & redesigned TSWeb portal.

8)Deactivate links on the CTS website (Lois, Debbie, Nancy)
     a)Deactivate links, but do not remove text, on the following page: http://www.library.cornell.edu/cts/deptinfo.htm i)Links to deactivate: Organizational charts Staff Lists List of CTS Contacts [the remaining links "CTS Languages……" & "CTS Statistics…..", should not be modified]
