LTSWeb Team Minutes, Sept. 28, 2004

Attending: Jim Alberts, Michal Jacyna, Margaret Nichols, Nate Rupp (chair)

Updates

Jim and Michal are working on archives for What?s New and the Presentations page.

David Banush has agreed to send Michal citations to presentations?or the actual

presentations themselves? listed in Backstory.

Nate will send a message to TS Voyage asking for submissions of other items for the

Presentations page.

The updates to the A-Z index have been finished and Michal will email the page link to

the group [Done].

Listserv page

Nate will forward on to the group the URL to the StaffWeb list of listservs [done], and

we?ll use this as a basis for the TS Web listserv page.

About Us page

Michal proposed a revision of the About Us page in which the list of technical services

functions and units would be eliminated?the lists of functions duplicates links already

on the left side of the page and the lists of units duplicates links under ?Technical

Services Centers,? linked from the top menu bar on TS Web. These sections will be

replaced with links to pages for CUL TS-wide initiatives and groups like TS Integration,

the Electronic Resource Management group, the Working Group on Cataloging,

Technical Services Executive Group, etc. The WGC and TSEG pages, for example, will

include minutes from those committees? meetings. Jim and Michal will begin developing

pages for WGC and TSEG on which the minutes can be placed. In addition to meeting

minutes, the page for TSEG will include a list of the committee?s members and the page

for WGC will include its new charge and information about its new chair, Zoe Stewart-

Marshall.

WGC and TSEG minutes

Karen has agreed that WGC and TSEG minutes should be moved over from CUL

StaffWeb to TS Web. Nate will touch base with Ron Rice about moving these minutes

over to TS Web.

RMC Tech Services procedures

Margaret continues to work with the web design group in RMC to include HTML (rather

than Word or PDF) versions of technical services procedures on the department?s web

site. The TS Web team may also invite Ken Williams, web designer for RMC, to meet

with us to discuss what was involved in developing the RMC site.

Announcing TS Web updates

When the presentations page, revision to the A-Z index, listserv page and redesign of

About Us are completed, we?ll announce these changes to CU-LIB.
