1. Staff report leave time to supervisors via e-mail, requesting vacation time in advance. Exempt, non-academic staff should report sick, personal, and family leave via e-mail immediately after returning to work.

2. Supervisors file e-mails.

3. Staff record leave time in the leave accrual tracking system: https://accruals.ohr.cornell.edu/.

4. Library Human Resources asks staff and supervisors to review “History of Time Reported” semi-annually. Staff confirm that the entries in the tracking system for the previous six months are correct. Supervisors check the entries against the e-mails and work with staff to correct any errors in the leave accrual database.

5. Supervisors sign print copies of the verified “History” entries and send to LHR.
