| Student Raise Guidelines (LTS Procedure #100) Scope: This document outlines the guidelines that Library Technical Services student supervisory staff should follow when considering raises for student assistants. Contact: Lisa Maybury Unit: Serials Management Date updated: 08/09/2007 Date of next review: August 2008 A. Current Student Hourly Wage Scale (2007-2008 Academic Year): Grade Level I Min. Wage = $7.15 Max. Wage = $9.00 Grade Level II Min. Wage = $7.50 Max. Wage = $10.30 Grade Level III Min. Wage = $8.10 Max. Wage = $11.85 Grade Level IV Min. Wage = $9.25 Max. Wage = $17.00 To be competitive with other departments, LTS student supervisors will add 5% to the above minimum hiring wage for all new and returning students. For instance, Grade Level I will start at $7.50/hr, a Grade Level II will start at $7.88/hr, etc. Students returning after a full year of service (fall & spring semesters) will receive an additional 5% merit increase that year and each subsequent year that they work in LTS. |
